Team Registration and player registration information 2023 season
PLEASE NOTE – OUR GOVERNING BODY, TOUCH FOOTBALL AUSTRALIA HAS CHANGED THE WAY THAT PLAYERS WILL PAY FOR INSURANCE COVER AND ADMINISTRATION FEES – $22 for juniors and seniors for 12 months membership.
The membership is an annual membership running from 1 July – 30 June each year.
During this 12-month period, a participant can register and play in as many competitions as they choose.
Please keep in mind that you will still need to pay local competition fees for each of these competitions.
All participants will pay $22.00 a year for membership. This fee includes GST, transaction fees and the cost of insurance.
The payment process is completely online via the MySideline system and is payable the first time a participant registers into a competition after 1 July each year.
Your membership expires on 30 June each year. When you register into your first competition after 1 July your membership will be due again.
It will appear automatically on your MySideline profile.
Since our sport was founded in 1968 senior participation has been higher than junior participation and senior fees have been used to subsidise junior players.
With participation balancing out in recent years, the decision was made to equalise the fee to make it cheaper for everyone to play the sport.
Season Dates
12 round season which includes a combined semi final / grand final night
All competitions and divisions will be played on a Thursday. Washout games on a Monday or a weekend afternoon depending on weather conditions and availability of fields.
Round dates – 31.8.23, 7.9.23, 14.9.23, 21.9.23, (School holiday break – no games), 12.10.23, 19.10.23, 26.10.23, 2.11.23, 9.11.23, 16.11.23, 23.11.23, (State Cup – no games 30.11.23 ), 7.12.23 last round game for Opens Social Division and Y3 and under division and Semi Final/Grand Final night for all other divisions. (Back up week 14.12.23).
There must be a sufficient number of teams nominate for each of the competitions listed below for that competition to go ahead.
- School year 3 and under mixed gender competition (any combination of girls and boys including all boys teams and all girls teams)
Competition eligibility – Must be in Year 3 or under in 2023 and must be a minimum of 5 years old at the beginning of the season. Local competition fee $55 per player plus yearly Touch Football Australia membership $22 = $77 ( to be paid on line at time of player registration) (active kids vouchers can be used) . Competition commences 4pm for a 30 minute duration. For the first 6 rounds the first 10 minutes of the session players will undergo a skills session with a trained touch football coach. The remaining 20 minutes will be a game. The last 6 rounds will be 30 minute games. There are no scores recorded or ladder for this division. No finals series.
- School years 4,5,6 mixed gender competition (any combination of girls and boys including all boys teams and all girls teams)
Competition eligibility -Must be in Year 4, 5 or 6 in 2023. Local competition fee $55 per player plus yearly Touch Football Australia membership $22 = $77 ( to be paid on line at time of player registration) (active kids vouchers can be used) . Competition commences 435pm for a 30 minute straight duration. Scored competition with ladder and finals series.
- School years 7, 8 mixed gender competition (any combination of girls and boys including all boys teams and all girls teams)
Competition eligibility -Must be in Year 7 or 8 in 2023 . Local competition fee $55 per player plus yearly Touch Football Australia membership $22 = $77 ( to be paid on line at time of player registration)(active kids vouchers can be used) . Competition commences 510pm for a 35 minute straight duration. Scored competition with ladder and finals series.
4. Open Mixed Gender competitions . For mixed teams there must be at least 1 female and a maximum of 3 males can be on the field at any time. ( Example – If a team only has 2 females attend the game they can only play with 5 players being 2 females and 3 males). All female teams are permitted ( no requirement to have a male on the feild).
Competition eligibility – Must be in high school in 2023 . Permission for younger players may be granted by the committee if the player meets certain criteria. Local competition fee $75 per player plus yearly Touch Football Australia membership $22 = $97 ( to be paid on line at time of player registration)(active kids vouchers can be used) .
Grades available in open mixed gender competitions.
A Grade – 11 rounds plus a Semi Final/Grand Final night. Competitive division and a must for representative players.
B Grade – 11 rounds plus a Semi Final / Grand Final night. Competitive division.
Social Division – 12 rounds. The social division will be scored and have a table, however will not have a finals series.
Teams containing young fast and competitive players and representative players are not to nominate a team in and or register into the Social Division.
The number of grades will depend on the number of teams that nominate.
Competition time slots 6pm / 650pm / 740pm , 2 x 20 minute halves in duration. Scored competition with ladder and finals series.
PLEASE NOTE – ALL TEAMS NOMINATING INTO OPEN MIXED A GRADE, B GRADE AND THE SOCIAL DIVISION MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 10 PLAYERS REGISTERED BY 17TH AUGUST 2023 FOR TEAM GRADING PURPOSES. PLAYERS WILL BE UNABLE TO REGISTER INTO TEAMS AFTER 24TH AUGUST 2023 WITHOUT THE PERMISSION OF MFTFA. THIS IS TO ALLOW MFTFA TO MONITOR PLAYERS ENTERING TEAMS AFTER TEAM GRADING HAS TAKEN PLACE. THIS TO TRY AND MAKE SURE THAT DIVISIONS ARE EVEN AND THAT TEAMS AND PLAYERS ARE PLAYING IN THE APPROPRIATE GRADE FOR THEIR ABILITY.

TO REGISTER AS A PLAYER IN THAT TEAM – CLICK ON THE BOX ON THE LEFT WHERE THE PLAYER SEARCHES FOR THE TEAM NAME AND REGISTERS AS A PLAYER . AT THE TIME OF PLAYER REGISTRATION YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO MAKE 2 PAYMENTS BY CREDIT CARD AS SET OUT BELOW.
ON LINE PAYMENT AT TIME OF PLAYER REGISTRATION is made up of – Local competition fee ( $75 for opens divisions and $55 for junior divisions ) which goes to Macksville Touch Association to cover the costs of running the competitions ( Buildings electricity, flood lights, field hire fees, balls and equipment, referee costs, line marking labour and paint costs, prizes, rubbish collection, stationary, field maintenance). This fee includes a portion that MFTFA pay to NSW Touch Association for affiliation fees . At the time of players registration TFA will also add their once per year membership fee $22. This makes the total on line payment for player registration $97 opens divisions, $77 junior divisions.
